Grateful Groove 2023: An evening of grooving and giving to fill local pantry shelves

The 2nd Annual Grateful Groove Gala at the beautiful Lawrence Memorial Chapel was another great success for Trim Hunger!  Imagine the variety shows of yesteryear. We filled that stage with such a mix of music, the night just flew by!

The heartwarming holiday concert included the blissful harmonies of talented singers from near and far. From the angelic voices of the Appleton Boy Choir to the Grammy winning vocals of Bonnie Lou Bishop. That’s right, we had a true yodeler in the house!

The night was led by the always brilliant band Pegasis, and rounded out with music from Nashville singer/songwriter Sam Carey and Denver singer Cassie Carter Boyd. And then there was that unforgettable moment when the chapel’s magnificent pipe organ came alive at the hands (and socked feet) of renowned organist Colin Welford. The evening was hosted by Good Day Wisconsin’s Rachel Manek and Trim Hunger Founder Josif Wittnik.

his magical evening was not only a celebration of music, but also a fundraiser, ensuring that families in need are nourished with love and support this holiday season. “Let us unite, uplift and make a difference together!”

A VIP post party after the show at Riverview Gardens was a chance for all to meet the artists, enjoy a cocktail and hors d’oeuvres, and raise even more money with some silent auction items and baskets.  Hope to see you next year!
